Commission plans can be tied to the Transaction Type.
See this for more info on how to do so.
As such, you may consider locking the transaction type so agents can't change it.
There are two methods of locking the transaction type.
Manual:
Please note that only users with the following roles can manually lock and unlock transaction types:
- Brokerage Manager
- Office Manager
- Accountant
- Compliance Officer
1) Open a Transaction's General tab. Ensure the Type field is set correctly.
- Click the Unlocked icon. It will change to Locked.
- Click Save.
2) To unlock the transaction type to allow the agent to change it:
- Click the Locked icon.
- It will change to Unlock.
- Click Save.
Automated Locking Upon Transaction Creation (Brokerage Setting)
With this setting on, the transaction type will automatically lock after the transaction is created through the Transaction Wizard.
1) Go to Setup → Transactions in the sidebar.
2) Select the Lock Transaction Type checkmark. Then click Save.
