When adding or editing a contact, TotalBrokerage can alert you to potential duplicate contacts within your brokerage.
If a possible duplicate is detected, a yellow warning banner at the top of the page will display the owner of the existing contact.
These alerts are informational only and will not prevent you from saving a new contact. They simply notify you that another user within your brokerage may already have a similar contact in the CRM.
This notification can help reduce duplicate records and improve collaboration within your office. Before creating a new contact, you may want to reach out to the owner of the existing contact to determine whether they are already working with that person.
For example, they may already have an executed contract or an active relationship with the contact, helping your team avoid duplicate work and providing a better experience for everyone involved.

NOTE: Duplicate Contact Alerts are optional and can be enabled or disabled by a Brokerage Manager:
Go to Setup – Navigate to Setup > Brokerage.
Select Brokerage – Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Disable Duplicate Checks – Locate the option "Disable Duplicate Checks for Contacts" and toggle it off.
Save Changes – Click Save before leaving the page.

Scroll down to the bottom where it says "Disable Duplicate Checks for Contacts".

Make sure you select Save before leaving the page.
