In some cases, the contract must reflect the customer's name as a Corporation or Trust, rather than an individual. However, the person with signing authority still needs to complete the signature and initial fields.
Follow the steps below to properly display the company name as the Buyer, Seller, Landlord, or Tenant, while keeping the authorized individual's name for signing purposes.
Open the CRM for the customer and add the Corporation or Trust name to the field called Company
Open the transaction and click on the document. Click the field for Customer Name (the outside of the field will turn green)
Go to the right sidebar and click Reassign
Select the Customer and instead of Name, choose Company.
Save
This will keep the signatures/initials for the actual person, but the Seller/Buyer/Landlord/Tenant name will now be listed as the Company on that form.
If you need to add text next to the signature areas, you can add a text box and enter whatever you need, such as John Smith, Trustee.
