If you're having trouble uploading a document to TotalBrokerage, signature requests not working, signatures returning upside-down, or other document-related issues, the problem is likely with the file itself. This can happen if the document comes from another source, like an email or a downloaded file.
How to Fix the Document
The easiest way to fix these issues is to create a new version of the document by "printing" it to a fresh PDF.
Important: This does NOT mean using a printer to create a paper copy! Instead, you’ll use the "Print" option on your computer to save a brand-new PDF. This method works because it takes the contents of your original document (almost like taking a picture of it) and creates a fresh PDF file. If you simply use "Save," it might keep any hidden problems with the original file.
Here’s how to do it:
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Find the Original Document
Locate the PDF on your computer. Open it using a PDF program (like Adobe Acrobat or your computer’s built-in viewer), not your web browser.Click Print
Open the print menu by clicking File and then Print (or use the print button in the program).Choose “Save as PDF” Instead of a Printer
In the print options, you’ll see a list of printers. Look for one that says something like “Save as PDF” or “Print to PDF.”- Select this option instead of a physical printer.
Save the New File
Give the new file a different name, so it doesn’t overwrite the original document.Upload the New PDF
Go back to TotalBrokerage and upload this fresh version of the document.
This method usually solves most document issues because it removes any hidden problems from the original file. Give it a try!
