Want to customize your TotalBrokerage dashboard with some personalized content? One way to achieve this is through the use of a Custom HTML Widget. Whether you'd like to display simple text or embed a video, this widget has you covered. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to create one:
1) Accessing Your Dashboard
Your dashboard is the landing page you encounter right after logging into TotalBrokerage. If you're somewhere else within the platform, you can quickly return to the dashboard by selecting Dashboard from the sidebar.
2) Begin Adding a Widget
On the top right of your dashboard, locate and click the Actions button. From the dropdown, select Add Widget.
3) Widget Configuration
In the subsequent widget menu:
- For widget type, select Custom HTML.
- Configure the appearance by choosing a color.
- Provide a title for your widget.
4) Using the HTML Editor
Upon selection, an HTML text editor will appear. If you've used the email function within TotalBrokerage before, you'll notice the editor tool is the same. Input the desired text and hit Save to apply it to your dashboard.
5) Embedding External HTML Code
If you wish to incorporate external HTML code into your widget:
a) For the purpose of this guide, we will use YouTube as an example. Navigate to the desired YouTube video.
b) Find and click the Share button below the video frame.
c) From the options, select Embed.
d) Highlight and copy the provided code. This can be done by:
- Pressing control (for Windows/Linux) or command (for Mac) + C on your keyboard.
- Alternatively, you can simply click the 'Copy' button.
e) Return to TotalBrokerage's widget settings. Here, locate and click the Pencil icon, which will allow you to paste the copied code into the HTML editor.
And there you have it! Your custom widget should now be part of your TotalBrokerage dashboard. While we've illustrated the process with a YouTube video, the Custom HTML Widget can handle codes from various sources. Customize it as you see fit!
